The Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca is a must-visit during your stay. It’s a short drive, taxi journey or a very pleasant seafront walk away.
The marina offers a stylish range of shops, bars and restaurants with the backdrop of the chic vessels that call it home. There is a quaint village-feel to the way the businesses are laid out. Constructed in 2003, it is one of the newest parts of Playa Blanca, comprising of quality facilities and even an indoor shopping centre.
For the more adventurous, there are diving schools and boat excursions there. The unique underwater museum “Museo Atlantico” is a recommended visit for anybody wishing to try diving.
Market Days
Market days at the marina are popular, taking place every Wednesday and Saturday. You’ll find a range of stalls surrounding the shops and bars with a lively, colourful atmosphere. Numerous stalls sell unique homemade products. When the market takes place many of the restaurants have specials available, including fresh paella.
