Hire a car for the day – resort pick-up and airport drop-off

This solves the problem of having to carry around heavy luggage all day, the car hire companies will arrange for you to pick the car up in resort in Playa Blanca and drop the car off at the airport. Cabrera Medina and Plus Car both have offices in Playa Blanca.

Drive out of Playa Blanca

If you have a car and fancy a drive then you could head to El Golfo to see the green lagoon and taste some lovely fresh fish, or visit the marina at Puerto Calero, or even head to the Timanfaya National Park. Puerto del Carmen is located near the airport if you want to make sure you’re in an easy position to make your way there for your flight. Another option is to spend the day in Arrecife. If you head to Arrecife, parking is available under the Gran Hotel. Go for a drink and enjoy the views from the 17th floor of the Gran Hotel (use the glass lift at the back of reception) and also have a walk to the beautiful El Charco de San Ginés part of Arrecife.
